'A Call to Prayer'

Daystar students, staff and faculty led by the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Stephen Talitwala, converged in both the Athi River and Nairobi campuses chapels on Thursday, September 5, for the Day of Prayer.

Pastor Regina Naiya, the guest speaker in Nairobi campus, preached on "Praying a covenant prayer", derived from 2 Chronicles 7. She led the community in sharing the Holy Communion after which Assistant Chaplain, Rev. Joseph Mbunga led the community to pray for various aspects of the university besides personal needs.

The Daystar Christian Fellowship (DCF) led worship and the entire programme for the day on both campuses.

Students, faculty and staff joined together for prayer and fellowship in the Athi River amphitheater

Daystar International community also had a session of coming together to pray for their different countries.
The Chaplain, Rev. Matthews Mwalwa, led the community in a time of repentance and prayer for community, national and international needs.
The VC called on the community to pray for provision as they embark on the next phase of building which will include a chapel, a Faculty Centre and a Science complex.
