Daystar Scholarship Students are Blessed to be a Blessing

One of my primary roles at Daystar U.S. is to support the scholarship program. During our recent Daystar trip, God opened the door for me to meet many current and former scholarship students. I was surprised at how many Daystar graduates are impacting so many areas of Kenya and Africa.  There are over 18,000 Daystar alumni and 4,500 students! They are impacting many segments of communities in Africa.

Before our trip, I did some reading about the historical moments and influential leaders that birthed and built Daystar University over the past 40 years. Our office storage is full of old Daystar communications about the beginning of Daystar University and the fulfillment of its mission over the years. I love to read history with all of its interesting personalities and unexpected twists which shows His story unfolding through the years. The Daystar story is a drama of God’s provision and how He used God-dependent, brilliant men and women to establish Daystar University.

Alan always reminds us that “God is the one who has brought our Daystar U.S. team together.” This year has been a big transition with the addition of three new staff members and Alan as the new executive director. It was such an honor to travel with my co-workers, Alan, Nancy, and Terra during our recent trip to visit Daystar in Kenya. The new memories, relationships and opportunities to serve together unified and strengthened us together in this great work.
