Dear
praying friends of Daystar University,
Thank
you for holding onto Jesus with us in prayer. Frank
Msambya is in New Mexico and Arizona this week meeting with
church leaders, so I have the honor of sharing some prayer
requests with you:
- Please
pray for the many Daystar students
whose families have had their homes burned down or their
businesses looted as a result of the post-election violence
in Kenya. Although the vast majority of our students
have safely returned to school, there are many difficult
stories coming to us from Daystar. You may read a
couple of those stories in our upcoming newsletter through
this link: http://www.daystarus.org/newsletters/newsletters.htm
- Pray
for Vice Chancellor Godfrey Nguru and all of the leadership
at Daystar. I traveled with the Vice Chancellor for
12 days in the USA to speak with many friends of Daystar
University about the situation in Kenya and how Daystar
is responding. Although the situation has improved
greatly, the peace is fragile, and God’s wisdom will be
needed to help guide Daystar in the next steps.
- Pray
for Frank Msambya in his travels and opportunities to speak
about African leadership. God has raised up Frank
for such a time as this, and may Frank share his messages
and life experiences faithfully.
In
the midst of a storm at sea when the Apostle Paul’s life was
threatened, he encouraged the ship’s crew with these words:
“For this very night there stood before me an angel of the
God to whom I belong and whom I worship, and he said, ‘Do
not be afraid. . .” (Acts 27:23-24).
Friends
of Daystar – We belong to and worship a mighty God.
Seeing
faith in a storm,
