Although I was born into a Christian home, I consciously gave my life to Christ in the year 1994 at the age of 14 during a Youth for Christ Camp Meeting. The message from the pulpit came so powerfully that I felt God was actually speaking to me. The man of God preached that a lot of people come to church everyday but have not given their lives to Christ. He said such people will not make it to heaven and supported it with some Scriptures. I quickly identified with this group and came forward during the alter call to give my life to Christ. Since then, I felt something has changed in the realms of the spirit. I began to experience God in a different and a special way. I received boldness to do the things I couldn’t do before. My academic life improved.  I noticed a new kind of understanding in the classroom and I began to excel.

I am currently enrolled at Daystar University to sharpen my skills in communications so that I serve and provide expertise in the church or in any organization. The vision that I have for my life is to fulfill the calling of God for my life through hard work and in any area I find myself. I also hope to use my skills and expertise to enrich the church. I want to study in a Christian institution because to study in this environment, I can interact with other Christians and be taught by Christian lecturers.

In my home church, I am involved in follow up on members who do not show up at church services.  I pray with them, encourage them and assist them if there are any challenges. I also teach at Sunday school meetings. I have enjoyed helping some members become more stable and use their gifts of service in the church.

I would rate my leadership abilities as very good. I have the charisma when it comes to organization, I am also very outgoing but firm, this has really made me able to identify with any group of people I come into contact with. My honesty, loyalty and punctuality towards activities have changed so many activities in the church.

However, I need to do better when it comes to linking and reaching out to people when church has ended. I would use the knowledge I acquire in communications to help spread the gospel of Jesus. I would also use that knowledge in whatever capacity I serve in to enrich and project the vision of that organization. Christians believe in Jesus because He came to die in their place, save them from all their sins and reconciled them back to God. “For as many believed, to them He gave power to be called the sons of God.” The outstanding major Christian believe that prove our faith in Christ is that firstly, Jesus Christ is the only Son of God but God the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit are one. Secondly, Jesus came to die on the cross for our sins and finally, He rose again on the third day which is a major victory for Christians. I hope to become the best communications practitioner the world has ever produced. I also hope to affect the lives positively through my writings and above all, I hope to become the reason why somebody will be saved by our Lord Jesus Christ.
