Hannah Sheu
Stewardship Associate

Hannah has worked at Daystar U.S. since she graduated from college in 2007.  She helps coordinate Afrizo’s tours and looks forward to welcoming Afrizo to the U.S. in fall 2009.  She works on other fundraising projects by editing grant proposals and filling out church funding renewal forms.  Hannah also works with Barry in the finance area: depositing checks, mailing receipts, paying invoices, and running reports.  She visited Daystar for the first time in 2008 and hopes to visit again soon.

Barry Jones
Chief Financial Officer

Barry joined Daystar U.S. in July of 2007.  Barry has worked in accounting and finance positions in the Minneapolis/St. Paul area since graduating from Bethel University.  He is responsible for the accounting, finance, and human resource administration functions at Daystar U.S.  Barry is an avid sports fan and outdoorsman, and his hobbies include:  fishing, camping, and running.  He worships at Roseville Covenant Church with his wife, Ann, and their two children, Jacob and Megan.

Pat Mahin
Manager of Projects and Church Relations

Pat is a former career naval officer, hospital administrator, church and missions agency administrator.  Most recently he was the Missions Pastor at Faith Presbyterian Church, Minnetonka, Minnesota.   While there, he mobilized the church body for missions and organized and led many mission trips.   He is a graduate of Cornell College (biology and chemistry), University of Iowa (Hospital and Health Administration) and Bethel Seminary (MA in Theological Studies).  He is an ordained minister with the Evangelical Church Alliance. He is also an ordained Elder in the PC (US) church.  Pat has traveled to East and West Africa while working with Mission:Moving Mountains, a ministry of the Navigators.

At Daystar U.S., Pat is Manager of Projects and Church Relations.  Pat encourages any churches to call him to discuss their missions programs and to learn more about Daystar. 

Frank Msambya
Cross Cultural Coordinator

Frank is the first graduate of Daystar University to serve full-time in the Daystar U.S. office! Frank was born in the African country of D.R. Congo. Due to God’s faithfulness through the generous support of American friends of Daystar, Frank earned his degree in Community Development and Peace & Reconciliation from Daystar University in 2003. Frank’s experience and linguistic ability is helpful in coordinating scholarship activities, assisting with missionaries and serving as an ambassador of Daystar in the U.S. and throughout Africa. Frank is an ordained deacon of the Across The Nations Church a ministry based in Minneapolis.

Alan Cooke
Office Manager

Alan first fell in love with Africa and Daystar during a trip to Kenya in 1996. After spending four months at Daystar University, he returned and started working in the Daystar U.S. office.

Alan is responsible for the office computers, software, networks, equipment, print and electronic media, gifts-in-kind, and website.

He is currently enrolled in Bethel University's adult degree program. He is married and enjoys time at home with his wife and three children.
