Denny Morrow
Executive Director

DENNY MORROW is the Interim Executive Director for Daystar U.S.  A decade ago, Denny held the same post here at Daystar and for the past six years has served on the Daystar U.S. Board.  He returns to the leadership post following Todd Rasmuson's resignation.

Most recently, he was Associate Executive Director of ReachGlobal, with responsibility for international education, medical centers, crisis response, and humanitarian programs all over the globe.

For most of his life, however, he has been an educator.  Denny was the Dean of the Graduate School and doctoral program director at Bethel University. He is a former classroom teacher, coach, principal, superintendent, and researcher.  Denny was also a Bush Leadership Fellow leading a research project on charter schools at Harvard University, and a LBJ Fellow in the U.S. House of Representatives.

Denny’s international experience is as the principal of Hong Kong International School in the 1980s, and of course, with Daystar University.  He is a frequent speaker on leadership and international education.

Denny grew up in Minneapolis, MN.  His university degrees were earned at the University of Minnesota (B.A. & Ph.D.) and the University of St. Thomas (M.A.).  He has been married to his wife, Pat, for 38 years.  They have three adult children, and seven grandchildren.

Hannah Sheu
Stewardship Associate

Hannah has worked at Daystar U.S. since she graduated from college in 2007.  She helps coordinate Afrizo’s tours and looks forward to welcoming Afrizo to the U.S. in fall 2009.  She works on other fundraising projects by editing grant proposals and filling out church funding renewal forms.  Hannah also works in the finance area: depositing checks, mailing receipts, paying invoices, and running reports.  She visited Daystar for the first time in 2008 and hopes to visit again soon.

Pat Mahin
Manager of Projects and Church Relations

Pat is a former career naval officer, hospital administrator, church and missions agency administrator.  Most recently he was the Missions Pastor at Faith Presbyterian Church, Minnetonka, Minnesota.   While there, he mobilized the church body for missions and organized and led many mission trips.   He is a graduate of Cornell College (biology and chemistry), University of Iowa (Hospital and Health Administration) and Bethel Seminary (MA in Theological Studies).  He is an ordained minister with the Evangelical Church Alliance. He is also an ordained Elder in the PC (US) church.  Pat has traveled to East and West Africa while working with Mission:Moving Mountains, a ministry of the Navigators.

At Daystar U.S., Pat is Manager of Projects and Church Relations.  Pat encourages any churches to call him to discuss their missions programs and to learn more about Daystar. 

Alan Cooke
Office Manager

Alan first fell in love with Africa and Daystar during a trip to Kenya in 1996. After spending four months at Daystar University, he returned and started working in the Daystar U.S. office.

Alan is responsible for the office computers, software, networks, equipment, print and electronic media, purchasing, website, and scholarships.

He is currently enrolled in Bethel University's adult degree program. He is married and enjoys time at home with his wife and four children.
