HAPPY NEW YEAR!

A very Merry Christmas and best wishes for a most prosperous, safe and Happy New Year from the Daystar US staff and Board of Directors. My wife, Barb, and I had the honor of attending the 2025 graduation ceremony in November, along with Alan, Daystar U.S. CEO and a minister from our church, Lindy. Over 2200 servant leaders were recognized with degrees ranging from Associates to PhD.

We were able to personally meet with many of the 52 scholarship graduates prior to the ceremony and hear briefly from each one. These students each expressed their appreciation for the gift of financial assistance that allowed them to complete their education. Please accept my sincere thanks to all whose willingness to share their prayers and resources makes this a reality for these students. They will, with God’s help, take their knowledge and faith to those they encounter in their next chapter. 

Lindy also had the pleasure of meeting with several scholarship graduates; she was moved by each of their stories. We also toured the campus, including Phase One of the Nursing Complex and the new School of Law building. During our tour of the campus, we met with John, the director of the Eugster Gym and Health Center. We visited with Juliana, a current Schefers Loan recipient who shared her idea of “bag” farming, allowing students to grow their own vegetables on campus for added nutrition. This is a poignant example of how creative our students are, and how they are eager to make a difference in their communities.

On our final day in Kenya, we met with a group of scholarship students for a more in-depth discussion and recorded interviews that will be shared in the coming months.

I have had the great opportunity, along with Barb, to visit the University many times and meet the amazing men and women who are training to become transformational leaders in Africa and the World, as well as most of the staff and administration. Many donors have had the same opportunity. You may be one who has never had the opportunity to do so, however, know that your generosity makes an impact that is incalculable. Thank you once again for your kindness and the impact it has on these amazing students' lives.
