Many of our scholarship students come from families and communities who were already struggling before Covid-19.  Without your support, these students would not have the opportunity for a life-changing education! 

The video below is my interview with Jennifer Kinoti, who is like a second mother to these students as she serves as Financial Aid Director at Daystar. Jennifer and her husband Stephen are also close personal friends and dear brothers and sisters in Christ. I hope you will be encouraged as you watch and listen to Jennifer share an update on scholarship students from a recent Zoom call.

Covid-19 Scholarship Student Update with Jennifer Kinoti, Financial Aid Officer

Scholarship students, June and Nadia, share lessons learned during Covid-19.

During the Covid-19 lockdowns at Daystar, your support for Daystar scholarship students has never been more important. With all classes moved online, students have shifted to their homes where they and their families depend on your support not only to complete their studies but to survive through economic hardship.

Two scholarship students, June and Nadia, recently shared about lessons they are learning in this crisis.

June shared, “The COVID-19 pandemic has disrupted our lives and the traditional ways we are accustomed to. It has forced us to unlearn and relearn. E-learning has been a challenge especially due to connectivity. However it has taught us to be innovative and think outside the box. My faith in God has also been strengthened because God cannot forsake us in the wilderness. I am hopeful that God will provide for us.”

Nadia shared “Being quarantined and the whole story of the Coronavirus have taught me lessons that I had not learned before.  With all this happenings, I still hold dear to the faith knowing that God is in control.”
