“Dear Family,

Our hearts are heavy with grief as we announce the passing on of our 2nd year Communication (Dip.) student, Joy Wairuri Kiiru. Joy was suffering from Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML) and has been in India, and in many other local hospitals, for treatment. She died on Sunday, May 10, 2020 at around 11:40am while receiving treatment at the KNH's Private Wing.

Joy will be buried, sadly on her 20th birthday, on this coming Saturday, May 16, 2020 at Murangá County, Mathioya Costituency, Kamacharia Division, Kamune Location.

Joy was the youngest in a nucleus family of five members. She has left behind her two brothers, Mom, and Dad. Let's join our hands and hearts for this family.
