"Trusting God to get me through!"

Natalie grew up in a lower middle class family in Kenya. Her mom had her when her mom was still in college, and decided not to marry Natalie's father. Natalie grew up shuffling between her grandmother’s rural home and her mom’s place which was dependent on her mom’s stability at any given time. Both her grandmother and mother dealt with various health issues and were on medication. Natalie cared deeply for her family and longed for a peaceful home. This caring trait combined with wanting better health for her family members caused her to pursue a nursing degree.

The turmoil of her young life also prompted her to see God’s faithfulness to her in her life. As a teen she committed her life to Christ. Her grandmother tried to persuade her to marry young and depend on a husband to pay for her education. But Natalie asked the Lord to help her through completing her degree. God showed himself to be dependable. He saw her through to graduation this past November.

Her graduation video message (below) tells her story, but listen to the end, she’s so very grateful to God for carrying her to the completion of this degree and now very grateful to Daystar U.S. for helping her get a nursing degree to in turn, help others.
