Eric Kadenge graduated from Daystar University in 1997 with a degree in communications. He continued his studies at Daystar to earn a master’s degree, also in communications. After graduating, he committed over a decade of his time and skills to Trans World Radio Kenya (TWR), a Christian programming station out of Nairobi. TWR is the most far-reaching Christian radio network in the world, with the Kenyan outfit airing over 36 programs in over 200 languages and dialects by satellite radio and internet programs.

Eric led a major project for TWR in which his team developed a drama program for young kids called “It Takes Courage.” It presents modern issues like HIV/AIDS, poverty, drugs, corruption while including the gospel message.  The program teaches young listeners how to be assertive and confident in their communication, how to make good choices, and how to take a courageous stand for what is right.

After Trans World Radio, Eric returned to Daystar and is currently a faculty member in the Communications Department and is pursuing his PhD. Eric is using his skills developed at Daystar and his authentic programming experience to help lead the region’s most elite university communications program.

Eric's wife, Winnie, also graduated from Daystar University and has worked at Trans World Radio since 1999. In 2015 she received her master's degree from Daystar is now the lead programs manager. Together they have a daughter and son.
